CROCK POT CHICKEN FRICASSEE

 
Now that the holiday its around the corner and our schedule become a little more hectic, there its nothing better than eating a homemade meal without all the fuss and the crockpot does all the work for you once you add the ingredients to it you will have a delicious meal that taste like you spend hours in the kitchen. Here its my version for Chicken Fricassee its always requested by my guest during the cold season. Make your life a little easier fashionista cook a crockpot meal.
Information you might want to know Abraham Lincoln our 16th president of USA, favorite meal was Chicken Fricassee.



You will need
4 or 5 quart Crock pot 

Ingredients


28 ounce can of Peeled Plum Tomatoes
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon of oregano
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cube of chicken bouillon
 1/4 cup of White wine
1 Medium onion dice
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
6-8 Green Olives
 
Chicken Drumstick 2 per person season
with salt and pepper
 
 
3 Potatoes scrub well (with water no soap)
1 tablespoon good Olive Oil
1 teaspoon of Oregano
1 Teaspoon of Italian Season 
 
 
Dice three potatoes no need to peel
The nutrition its in the skin of the potatoes


 
Place dice potatoes 
1 teaspoon Olive oil
 1 teaspoon of each oregano
 and Italian seasoning
Mix well like this

 
Half of a medium White or Spanish onion dice

 
Like this
 
1/2 cup of Chicken Broth
1/4/ Cup of White Wine
1 teaspoon chopped garlic

 
 
 6- 8 Green Olives
 
Place Ingredients in this order inside 4-5 quart crock pot
1- The mix potatoes
2- Dice onion
3- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic 
4- Season Chicken drumstick
5- 1/4 cup of White wine
6- 1/2 cup Chicken broth
7- Chicken bouillon broken into pieces
8- 1 can 28 ounce of Plum tomatoes with liquid
9- 1 teaspoon of oregano, Italian seasoning and cumin
10- 1 bay leaf
11- Salt & pepper to taste ( personally I add 1 teaspoon of each)
Cover and cook on the low heat 6-8 hours or on high heat for 2-4 hours
all the ingredients will be tender and falling easily off the fork.

  5. Interesting, here in Portugal chicken Fricasse is very common but we make a little diferent. We use egg for istance, which leaves the sause with a more yellow cream.
