NUTTY PESTO

(Google Images)

We all have our version in pesto
The original recipe is
basil, pine nuts and parmessan with great olive oil.
Now I like to play and think outside the box
So I decided to make mine with two of my
favorite herbs and two of my favorite nuts.

Here is my Nutty Pesto hope you guys give it a try
is delicious and very tasty trust me if you like
pesto you might want to give this one a go.

INGREDIENTS
1 Cup of Basil
1 Cup of Italian Flat Parsley
2 Garlic Cloves
1/4 Cup Walnuts
1/4 Cups Almonds
2/3 Cup of a good Extra Virgin Olive Oil
A pinch of each Sea Salt and Fresh Ground Pepper
1/2 Cup of Parmessan Cheese

Place all ingredients in a food processor pulse until the mixture
is a coarse consistency but well blend.

IMPORTANT TIPS
Add all ingredients in the food processor if making it to use the day of or next day
Drizzle with olive oil transfer to a jar seal with saran wrap and lid refrigerate for 2 days
the max.

TO FREEZE TIP
If wanting to use in the future than do not add the cheese  drizzle with olive oil
pour into a ice cube freeze
than transfer to a seal container last up to 3 months
When thaw stir in the cheese

  42. Oh pesto is great. I use to wait tables at an Italian restaurant that had an appetizer of a sauce made of freshly made pesto, heavy cream, parmesan and it was served with garlic bread wedges. As you can imagine it was divine.
