SMALL BITES WITH BIG FLAVORS

These small bite appetizer will be great to
serve in a party or small get together.
They also perfect to serve on
Valentine's Day
bite size is more intimate.
Here are a few I like to serve
when I have an event at home.
I like giving back and sharing my recipe
with my readers hopefully you will
try and enjoy them.

GREAT COOKING HAS A SOUL AND PASSION.


CROSTINI

1 Baquette Slice
1/4 Cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Direction
Preheat oven at 350 place slice baguette
onto a baking sheet with a basting brush
brush both side of the bread with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Place in oven cook for 10 or 15 minutes slightly brown
keeping a close eye oven temp vary.

Crostini


This recipe below could be serve with Veggies, Cracker and Crostini

GORGONZOLA SPREAD
2 Tablespoon of Sour Cream
2 Tablespoon Original Cream Cheese 
1 Teaspoon Chardonnay Wine
1/4 Cup of Crumble Gorgonzola

Direction
Add everything into a food processor
blend until smooth cover and refrigerate
will last up to 2 days in the refrigerator.

Here How It Looks:

Cheese Spread

ROASTED PEARS AND APPLES

2  BOSC Pears
2 Granny Smith Apples
2 Tablespoon of Honey
Sprinkle with Sage Salt
 (same as basil salt recipe)

NOTE: I used the same way you do Basil salt by making Sage Salt.

Directions

Preheat oven at 350 slice pears and apple
drizzle with honey sprinkle with sage salt
bake for 20 or until they turn soft.

CARAMELIZED ONIONS
2 Whole Onions Slice Thin
3 Tablespoon Butter
2 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Balsamic Vinegar
1 Teaspoon of Salt 

Direction
In a sauce pan add the 3 Tablespoon of butter add the slice onion
cook on medium heat for 15 minutes lower the heat stir
the onion add the 1 teaspoon of salt stir and add the 2 tablespoon
of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar cook until 
the onions start to turn brown and caramelized.

You could serve as a topping on Crostini with Gorgonzola Spread.

  36. Caramelised onions look good, but I would not cook that crostini, purely because it's made of white bread. I eat white bread only if I have no choice, so I would not actively choose a recipe with white bread in it..

    1. Try it out with Whole Wheat plenty of people do not eat white due to health or diet. You should never settle even when you do not have a choice not good to eat something you do not like.

  60. These look like the perfect party pleasers Jackie. I've never toasted slices of bread brushed with olive oil. There's the whole dipping of fresh bread in olive oil but I really like the idea of toasting it. That would be delicious.
