PICKLED RED ONIONS

This is such a simple recipe
and so delicious to add to so many dishes
that you will like to enhance the flavor to.
I like adding it to salad or top my scrabble eggs with it
also fish very scrumptious the combination
of pickle red onion with these food.

So here is the simple recipe with my
favorite vinegar hope you will try it out.

PICKLED RED ONIONS

INGREDIENTS
1 Medium Red Onion Slice
3 Tablespoon  Sugar
1 Teaspoon Salt
2-3 Cups of Water
3/4 Cup Balsamic White Vinegar
1 Teaspoon Peppercorn (optional)
(You could add any flavor like garlic, thyme, dill)

DIRECTIONS
In a Sauce Pan filled with 2-3 cups of water
add 3 Tablespoon Sugar, 1 Teaspoon of Salt, 3/4 cup of 
Balsamic White Vinegar
Stir well!
Slice onion 1/2 inch thick add to the water  bring to 
a boil remove let it sit till it cool
Drain and reserve the brine

In a glass jar with lids that has been steam

TIP
Mason Jars Work Great 

Add the Pickle Red Onion and filled with Brine almost to the top
cover and stored in the refrigerator it will last for weeks.
If wanting to use the day of wait 30 minutes.

3/4 CUP WHITE BALSAMIC VINEGAR
THE SLICE ONIONS, 1 TEASPOON 
PEPPERCORN

 PLACE ONIONS IN A STEAM JAR 

ADD BRINE ALMOST TO THE TOP
THIS RECIPE MADE TWO 4 OZ JARS

 ENJOY!

ALWAYS BEAUTIFY YOUR JAR!!!

  5. I love pickles and never tried onions as pickles, so I suppose I have missed something! But it is time to try! I love cooking and I now with this nice recipe I can try onion pickles!
