HOMEMADE TOMATO SOUP WITHOUT YOUR MOTHER"S CROUTONS

I love soup and enjoy making my own
in my kitchen. If you were to ask me
which soup you could eat everyday I will
said with no hesitation, Homemade Tomato Soup
but sometimes soup is not enough to satisfy our tummies
so is good to add another element that is unexpected.
In this case it will be my homemade croutons with yellow squash.
HOMEMADE TOMATO SOUP WITHOUT YOUR MOTHER"S CROUTONS
I did my crouton with yellow squash, 
instead of the well known bread croutons
 nothing wrong with it, is just that I like adding
healthy element to my food.



HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS

1 Can of 28 ounce Dice Tomatoes
1 Small Onion Chopped 
1 Clove of Garlic Minced
5 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon of Oregano
1/2 Teaspoon of Sea Salt
1/2 Teaspoon of Fresh Ground Pepper
1 Bay Leaf
1/4 Cup of Chicken  (or Veggie)
Few sprigs of Basil

YELLOW SQUASH CROUTONS INGREDIENTS
1 Yellow Squash (cut in squares)
1 Egg
1/4 Cup of Breadcrumbs
1 Cup of Vegetable Oil
1/4 Teaspoon of Salt and Fresh Ground Pepper


DIRECTIONS
In a sauce pan add 5 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
add Chopped Onions and Minced Garlic sauteed
until translucent, add 1 teaspoon of Oregano
 1/2 teaspoon of Sea Salt and Fresh
ground pepper, pour 1/4 cup Chicken or Veggie broth
Finally add the Dice Tomatoes and 1 Bay leaf
 let it simmer
for 25 minutes

Let it cool remove the bay leaf
add in batches to a Food Processor or Blender
Blend until smooth add back to the pot
keep warm until ready to serve.

STEP ONE AND TWO

ADD DICE TOMATOES
AND BAY LEAF

AFTER IT HAS SIMMER FOR 25 MINUTES AND COOL
REMOVE THE BAY LEAF
ADD TO FOOD PROCESSOR OR BLENDER
BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH
LIKE THIS

KEEP WARM UNTIL READY TO SERVE

DIRECTIONS FOR THE YELLOW SQUASH SOUP

Whisks the one egg season with salt and pepper (Set aside)
Measure in a bowl 1/4 cup of Breadcrumbs
Dice into square the Yellow Squash
add to the egg mixture coat well
than add to the breadcrumbs coat well
add to a fry pan and fry until they are golden brown

YELLOW SQUASH
CUT IN HALF

SLICE EACH SIDE HALF
THAN SLICE ACROSS

ADD TO EGG MIXTURE COAT WELL
THAN ADD TO BREADCRUMBS COAT WELL

FRY UNTIL YELLOW SQUASH IS GOLDEN BROWN
DRAIN IN A PLATE COVER WITH PAPER TOWELS.
LIKE THIS



FINAL RESULT
SERVE SOUP ADD
 YELLOW SQUASH CROUTON
AND SPRIGS OF BASIL

Is a small review and tip.

Here is the tips for taking care of your lips

As per Dr. Robert Brodell, M.D.
Is not good to constantly licking your lips it damage
your protective barrier which could dry them out.

Keep Lips Hydrated with lip balms that contains Vitamin E or glycerin.

Matte Lipstick dry lips so my advice apply a small about of lip balm
before applying the lipstick.

 I found this lipstick
in the drugstore and what
got me is the package
why so protective and
what it offers,
Lasting color plus moisture care
in one lipstick.
Curiosity to see if the claim is true
It claims 1 hour lasting color
and moisture with over 50%
emollients including Vitamin
E and Vitamin A.

COlOR IS 505
ICEBLUE PINK


It does last an hour and it moisturize
I was impress my lips felt soft 
even after it fade off.
So the claim is absolutely true,
if you looking for a moisturizing
lipstick and a soft color this 
product you should try.



The shade is a glossy pink perfect for day if
you do not want a heavy lipstick or color.



REVLON 

MATTE LIPSTICK

COLOR 011 STORMY PINK 

I do like matte, but be cautious
in applying everyday like I mention
in my tips it does have the tendency in
drying your lips.
TIP
If you do not like the feel than add some gloss on top

The color is so pretty.

To serve with it I will suggest a Rose Wine that is light in body a must
to go with a range of appetizer or Hors d' oeuvres

Think about this one now that Valentines is around the corner.



Fish Anyone this is the perfect compliment to it.

SAUVIGNON BLANC

This wine compliment fish or anything you could
add any citrus to like lemon, orange or lime due
to the acidity it enhance the flavor of the food.


Like your Food Spicy yes their is a wine for it.

RIESLING

Delicious with Thai food, Curried Chicken,
Mexican spicy meals, Jamaican Jerk Chicken
Give it a try see if it meets your palettes.


If Braised Meat is what you serving look
no further than to pair it with.

CABERNET


Duck and Sausage also goes will with this wine.


Poultry is more your thing
than this wine is for you.

CHARDONNEY

It also works well when adding to
red sauces grab and use on your
next sauce you will love it.

RED MEAT
how well it goes with this wine.

PINOT NOIR


It pairs well with earthy
food like Stew, Steak
Wild mushroom.


Fruity Dessert like
Poach Pears, Apples,
Peaches and so on
This wine parties with it.

I like pairing it with
a cheese and fruit platter

Cakes, Mouse and Milk type
of dessert this is the wine for it.

TIME TO SNACK ON SPINACH CHIPS

TIME TO SNACK ON SPINACH CHIPS
GREAT WAY TO START YOUR NEW YEAR HEALTHY

So they said kale is out and the 
new dry snack is Spinach.
A cook like me could not resist the big hype
so I decided to try it for myself with my
own ingredients like Basil Salt
get recipe here
I love the crunch of the spinach and taste
with the basil salt but you could try with
salt and pepper if you prefer.
Few things I learn that it did not
compare with kale.
IMPORTANT
One do not pour to much olive oil
Two if not eaten quickly it will turn soggy
not Kale I was able to enjoy any time.
I thought you will like to know.


INGREDIENTS
2 CUPS OF FRESH SPINACH
1 TEASPOON OF GARLIC POWDER
1 TEASPOON OF BASIL SALT (link above for recipe)
FEW DROPS OF OLIVE OIL

DIRECTION
Preheat oven at 325
In a bowl add spinach and few
drops of olive oil stir gently
add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
than add 1 teaspoon of Basil Salt
Once again stir gently
Place evenly on a cookie sheet cover with aluminum foil
Bake for total 12 minutes 
Keep a close eye after 7 minutes

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Keep in mind Oven Vary in Temp
so use your best judgement.

Let it sit for 2 minutes transfer to plate and enjoy.


ADD 2 CUPS OF SPINACH TO BOWL
ADDING THE OLIVE OIL
MAKE SURE IS COATED
BUT NOT SOAK...

 1 TEASPOON OF GARLIC POWDER

ONE TEASPOON OF HOMEMADE
BASIL SALT

LAY EVENLY ON A COOKIE SHEET THAT IS
COVER WITH ALUMINUM FOIL


 THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS
WHEN DONE

ON THE IMAGE IT DOES NOT LOOK AS DRY
BUT TRUST ME IT DOES HAVE
A GREAT CRUNCHY TASTE.
